"The only way to walk with God is through prayer." Prayer was the driving force behind the Disciple Making Movement David Watson saw in India. On average their team spent 3-6 hours a day in prayer, and even more on the weekends. David argues that people who pray only 15 minutes a day are in a religious system, not a walking-with-God system. Today David Watson joins the CDM Podcast to share from personal experience just how important a prayer movement is. Learn principles about listening prayer, turning distractions into opportunity, and how to how to see real fruit. Hear stories about his prayer mobilization efforts and just what prayer can do.

Helping Christians Share the Story

Sharing a Bible story doesn’t come naturally for most Christians. Whether they don’t know what to say, are too afraid of what someone will think, or don’t have anyone to tell in the first place, it’s easy to leave this part out of a Discovery Bible Study or Disciple Making Community. In today’s podcast, Paul Watson and Beck Ewing talk about how to help Christians get better at telling others what they’re learning in the Bible.

The Simplest Way to Develop Disciple Making Coaches

You can help other people become coaches in disciple making through a habit you've probably heard about—the prayer calendar!  It's a way to start small and show that anyone can make disciples who make disciples. Check out this video on what the prayer calendar is. 

 

So how does this simple way of praying for people every day develop coaches? It helps people develop the skills necessary to do basic leadership development. If you're multiplying your calendar, you're learning the skills of celebration-based accountability, problem-solving, and multiplication; how can I help you help someone else do something? 

 

Choose 2-5 people to train in the prayer calendar and call them up each week to see how it's going. Listen to this episode to learn more!
